Staring in the mirror wasn’t always easy for me. It was a daily battle between the reflection I wanted to see and the one that haunted my thoughts. I’d stand there, examining every inch of myself, and the voices in my head would start their relentless critique. I’d nitpick, finding flaws where there were none, and the self-doubt would creep in. But one day, I decided it was time to confront those voices and insecurities head-on. I learned to embrace the person staring back at me in the mirror, flaws and all. It wasn’t about conforming to someone else’s standards; it was about embracing my uniqueness. Looking in the mirror may always have its complications, but served as a reminder that I could silence the self-criticism and find beauty in my own reflection. They were a symbol of my journey towards self-love, a journey that continues to this day.”
