“Am bad black I was born on 10th June 1989 in the eastern part of Uganda in Masindi district. At the age of 16 in 2005 I was caught red handed kissing with my boyfriend by them. My father asked me to leave his home if I don’t want to be killed. I left home and came to Kampala where I started doing sex worker for survival. In 2009, I found out that I was HIV positive and am on ARV drugs now.

Early this year on the 19th. March. 2014 I was captured/ kidnapped by three unknown people (men) who tortured me for seven hours they beat me up and fixed a beer bottle in my ass smeared with hot pepper. The kidnappers took my phones and money.

I have been sexually harassed by the police every time on streets. Now I volunteer with an organization for trans people who are HIV positive and engage in sex worker. The police arrested me several times for no reason.

My dream is to go back to school and I continue with my studies.”
