“After my birth they gave my name sandipan but i always love to think me a female in front of mirror. in my school days when i wished to perform as a female dancer in annual programme they laughed at me and informed my family. my parents beat me. from that day my struggle was started. i grew up with my struggle and that built me as a dancer, a female dancer– sandipta chhetri. now a days my mother introduces me as her daughter in the society in my absence but she never told me that in front of my face. i’m waiting for that day.”
