“I want to say thank you

It was a long, tiring and arduous journey, but now I am on a safe land. I wanted to thank you. Your comments, love and support helpeD me throughout this journey, BECAUSE of you I still be in love and humanity.

I spent a year in Lebanon, I applied for asylum, and I got accepted, and now I am a permanent resident holder, it was a difficult journey, but I did not lose hope, and my goal was to be on a land that respects my rights and treats me as a human being, I was looking for dignity, Canada provided all this to me, so I am grateful, and as the Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz said, ‘A person’s homeland is not the place of his birth but the place where all his attempts to escape end.'”
