“I am a 30 year old African American Black transgender woman. I am from Lafayette LA but I have lived in New Orleans for 10 years.

Becoming a transgender was a little rocky for me because coming from a small town where that was not common and also my parents being pastors was hard at first. It was a struggle but as I grew older I had to stand my ground and let them l know I’m not changing this is me accept it or not. I lost a few people family and friends at first cause they didn’t understand But now we stuck like glue and have a bond like no other and it brings tears to my eyes cause I didn’t believe it would happen.

Also coming up asking questions about hormone therapy and laser treatment no one wanted to give me information I needed but when you hungry for something you search and go after it and that’s why I’m the successful beautiful transwoman I am today so now I use my knowledge I learned to share with other transwomen to make the journey easier so they don’t have to go thru what I went through.”
