“I’m gay, and in Iran, living with constant fear and hiding who you are was a harsh reality. When my family found out, they not only rejected me but also said I was a disgrace and should be killed. That’s when I had to leave Iran, as staying meant risking my life.
I’ve been living in Turkey for over 7 years now, but the situation for the LGBTQ+ community here is also difficult and unsafe. I still don’t feel real peace or security. Discrimination and lack of support have made life very hard for me.
My dream is to live somewhere safe, where I can be myself and help others who’ve suffered like I have. I hope all this pain can eventually turn into something meaningful.“
